Sunday School
On November 4, 2007, Sunday School took on a new role in the life of our Church. The early worship service moved to 8:30 a.m., and Sunday School was provided a full hour from 9:45 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
Our hope is everyone of every age will seek to participate in a Sunday School class. Growing Christians regularly worship, participate in small groups for study and for accountability, and have identifiable service in the name of Jesus Christ. Of course, we could also add read the Bible, pray, participate in Christian conferencing, fasting, keeping a journal, etc. In all these practices, the practices themselves are not the sign of Christian maturity. They are a means. By means of these habitual practices we open ourselves to the grace that forms us in Christlikeness.
Sunday School has been a key, prudential means of God gracious work in Christian lives for a long time. We anticipate that your Sunday School class will teach you the Bible and our faith, challenge you to excel in Christ, provide Christian friendships, and prove an invaluable source of joy.
