New Construction

Praise be to God, we are virtually complete. Once the final inspection is completed and Certificate of Occupancy obtained, we will be free to begin to move in. Our Consecration Service is scheduled for Sunday, January 22, 10:30 a.m. followed by a church-wide lunch. No other service nor Sunday School will be held that morning. Please join us for our celebration of praise.

We are grateful to the congregation for faithful service and generous contributions. We are grateful to our Building Committee. We are grateful to our architects, Stagaard and Chao of Pinehurst, to our contractor Sandhills Building Systems, Inc., to their Superintendent Mike Locklear and their employees who worked so diligently. We are grateful, as well, to all the sub-contractors.

Sunday School classes on January 29 will meet in their new locations.

On February 6, 2011, meeting in Church Conference with the Reverend Doctor Stephen Compton, Sanford District Superintendent, presiding, the preliminary sketches and the preliminary financial plan were approved for adding 3,400 square feet of educational/multi-use space onto the east end of present building. Of the members attending, all votes were affirmative. No votes were dissenting.
